Gakina Gidinawemaaganidog—all our relations—reminds us that we are woven from the generations before us and into those yet to come. Community is intergenerational—when we connect across generations, we carry each other forward.

It is the recognition that we have always been here, governing ourselves, protecting our lands and waters, and ensuring the continuation of our language and culture. It is the exercise of our inherent rights, our treaties, and our ability to shape our own future.
As Waganakising Odawak, we live in relation to one another—our connections shape who we are. Whether in person at gatherings, engaged in government, or staying informed through the tools we use to communicate, these connections ensure that every Citizen has a place and is valued. No one should feel unseen or unwelcome. This is something we do giinwi, all of us, together. It is our way—woven through our relationships, our responsibilities, and our shared commitment to one another.
